BTS' official color?

Contrary to popular belief, BTS does not have an official color! It also means that purple is not BTS’s official color! In general, in K-pop culture, each group decides and announces an official color that represents itself. This official color was derived from the fact that when using balloons before the lightstick was invented, fans on music shows held up balloons of the same color to identify they are fans of a certain group. Currently, since lightsticks with different shapes have been released, the official color has become meaningless. Also, now that there are so many groups, it’s harder to find non-overlapping colors. Accordingly, Hive’s BTS and TXT have officially stated that they do not have official colors. Then, how did purple become the biggest symbol of BTS?
