Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe

     Now, this is the recipe in detail how to make kimchi fried rice. Excluding the preparation time, you can make it in about 20 minutes!

Ingredient:

– 2 bowls of rice

– 1/2 cup of kimchi (the amount can be adjusted according to taste)

– 1/2 can of tuna

– 2 eggs

– 1/4 cup of ham

– 1 tsp of sugar

– 1/4 onion (optional)

– cooking oil

– 1 tbsp soy sauce

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– Salt, pepper, gochujang(red pepper paste)

 

Cooking process:

1. Cut the kimchi into small pieces, then drain the tuna.

2. Fried eggs are needed. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry it.

3. Cut the ham and onion into small pieces and prepare them separately.

4. Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry the onion.

5. When the onion becomes transparent, add kimchi and tuna and stir-fry.

6. Add rice and mix well. Add soy sauce and sesame oil and stir-fry.

7. Add sugar and stir-fry.

8. Add ham and fry.

9. Place fried egg on top of fried rice.

10. Season with salt and pepper, add more red pepper paste if necessary, and mix well to finish.

 

     The secret ingredient was sugar! Adding sugar enhances the savoriness of kimchi.

Vegan Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe

     For those of you who are vegan, we’ll also share the vegan kimchi fried rice recipe!

ingredient:

– Vegan Kimchi: 1 cup

– Sesame oil: 1 tbsp

– Onion: 1 (chopped)

– Mini carrots: 2 (chopped)

– Starch-free red pepper paste: 2 tbsp

– Cooking oil: 2 tablespoons

– Rice: 3 cups (cold rice is preferred)

– Salt: Adjust according to taste

– Pepper: Adjust according to taste

– Seaweed: Appropriate amount (finely chopped)

 

Cooking process:

1. Finely chop the vegan kimchi in advance.

2. Heat sesame oil in a pan and sauté onions and carrots over medium heat until soft.

3. Add red pepper paste and cooking oil and stir-fry with vegan kimchi.

4. Add cold rice and mix well. Make sure to mix all the rice evenly.

5. Season with salt and pepper, adding more gochujang to taste if needed.

6. When the fried rice is warm, put it on a plate and sprinkle seaweed to finish.
